, i can only speak from that reference; when you consider all of the instruments on the song, the two distinctly different sections of the song (paul’s “middle eight”), the incredible vocal arrangement of the song, and the overall beauty of the recording itself, and all recorded on a dinosaur 4-track machine (actually i think there were two machines, which enabled more tracks), it’s an astonishing technical achievement in my opinion. and i didn’t even mention the incredible ending chord played on as many as 3–6 grand pianos.
